Thinking Machines Lab has launched the Tinker grant program for research on the security of open weighted models, with a maximum of $50,000 in Tinker credits available to a single project.
Thinking Machines Lab has launched a funding program to support research on the security of open weighted models.Selected projects can receive up to $50,000 in Tinker credit to support related training and experimental work; this credit is not a cash prize.
The research directions listed by the authorities include making models more secure to publish, studying alignment failures and reward deception, and measuring and predicting the risks after model release.
