Mistral 3 is Mistral AI's next-generation open-source AI model series, including the small Ministral 3 (3B, 8B, and 14B parameters) and the large Mistral Large 3 (675B total parameters, 41B activation parameters). The models support multimodal (text and image) and multilingual capabilities, offering high performance and cost-effectiveness. Incorporating optimization technologies from partners like NVIDIA, Mistral 3 can run efficiently on various hardware, making it suitable for edge computing, enterprise deployments, and other scenarios, providing developers with powerful tools to build and deploy AI applications.

Mistral 3 Technical Principles

  • Hybrid Expert Architecture (MoE)The model employs a sparse hybrid expert architecture with a total of 675 bytes of parameters and 41 bytes of activation parameters. This architecture improves model efficiency and scalability by dynamically allocating computational resources.
