What is Baichuan-M2?

Baichuan-M2 is an open-source medical augmentation model launched by Baichuan Intelligence. It has demonstrated outstanding performance in the medical field, achieving a score of 60.1 in HealthBench benchmarks, surpassing numerous open-source models such as OpenAI's gpt-oss120b, and ranking first globally. Through its extremely lightweight design, it can be deployed on a single RTX 4090 GPU, significantly reducing costs. Its MTP version shows a 74.9% improvement in token speed in single-user scenarios, making it suitable for emergency and outpatient settings. Baichuan-M2 also shows improved performance in core areas such as mathematics and writing. Through an AI patient simulator and reinforcement learning, it more closely resembles real-world medical scenarios, strictly adhering to Chinese medical guidelines and better suited to the needs of clinical diagnosis and treatment in China.
