OpenAI fixes GPT-5.5-mini misrouting issue.
The OpenAI product manager stated that a regression issue had caused approximately 3% of Pro and Thinking conversations to be unexpectedly routed to GPT-5.5-mini, but the issue has now been fixed.
Adam Fry, product lead at OpenAI, confirmed that a system regression issue caused approximately 3% of Pro and Thinking conversations to be unexpectedly routed to the GPT-5.5-mini.
OpenAI stated that the issue has been fixed and apologized for the inconvenience caused to users.
