Anthropic acquires popular JavaScript toolchain company Bun

Anthropic has announced the acquisition of Bun, a popular JavaScript toolchain company, for an undisclosed sum. Bun founder Jarred Sumner joined the company because his tools are widely used in AI programming products such as Claude Code, and he sees a bright future for Anthropic in the AI programming field. This acquisition will deeply integrate Bun's high-performance runtime and packaging technology into Claude Code and future AI tools to improve performance and distribution efficiency. Bun will remain open source and continue to develop independently.
