Meta launches native multimodal large model Muse Spark

Meta's Super Intelligence Lab (MSL) launched its first model, Muse Spark, which jumped from 18 points on the Llama 4 to 52 points on the Artificial Analysis benchmark, second only to GPT-5.4 and Gemini 3.1 Pro, driving Meta's stock price up by nearly 10%. The model features a native multimodal inference architecture, with visual thought chains, multi-agent orchestration, and a "contemplative mode," and has demonstrated outstanding performance in CharXiv visual understanding and HealthBench health question answering.
