OpenAI secures a massive AI chip deal worth nearly 70 billion yuan!

OpenAI has signed a mega-deal worth nearly $10 billion (approximately RMB 69.7 billion) with US AI chip company Cerebras to deploy a 750-megawatt Cerebras wafer-level system, creating the world's largest high-speed AI inference platform. The collaboration will be implemented in phases starting in 2026 and completed by 2028, with Cerebras chips achieving inference speeds 15 times faster than GPU systems.
