OpenAI unveils its latest flagship large-scale model, GPT-5.5.

OpenAI has launched its next-generation flagship model, GPT-5.5, positioned as "a new type of intelligence for practical work and intelligent agents." The model is co-designed with NVIDIA's GB200/GB300 NVL72 system, surpassing its predecessor and Claude Opus 4.7 in programming, knowledge work, and scientific research. GPT-5.5 breaks the "stronger always means slower" rule, achieving speeds comparable to GPT-5.4 while consuming fewer tokens.
