OpenAI acquires startup Ona

OpenAI announced its acquisition of startup Ona to provide a secure, pre-configured cloud environment for its programming assistant, Codex. Ona's technology will help Codex perform longer tasks, enabling users to securely deploy AI agents to production environments while strengthening enterprises' control over infrastructure, data assets, and security boundaries. The transaction amount was not disclosed. The Ona team will join OpenAI to participate in the Codex project.
