Google releases Gemini 3.8, an inference and coding model.

Google has officially launched Gemini 3.8, which includes a general version for Flash and a dedicated version for Flash Cyber for cybersecurity. Gemini 3.8 Flash maintains the speed and cost of version 3.7 while significantly improving software engineering, agent tasks, and multi-step inference capabilities. Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber focuses on vulnerability discovery and automatic patching, and is available to certified security personnel through the Fairwind Program.
