Baidu launches its flagship language model, Wenxin 5.1.

Baidu Wenxin 5.1 has been officially launched, with total parameters compressed to about 1/3 of Wenxin 5.0 and activation parameters to about 1/2. The pre-training cost is only 6% of that of similar-sized models in the industry. The model ranks fourth globally and first in China on the Arena search leaderboard with a score of 1223. Its agent capabilities surpass DeepSeek-V4-Pro, and its AIME26 math competition score of 99.6 is second only to Gemini-3.1 Pro.
