Tencent's open-source translation model, Tencent-HY-MT1.5 series, includes two models, 1.8B and 7B, supporting mutual translation between 33 languages and 5 minority languages/dialects. The 1.8B model is optimized for edge deployment, requiring only 1GB of memory to run smoothly, and surpasses most commercial APIs in translation quality, with an average response time of only 0.18 seconds. The 7B model is an upgraded version of the WMT25 competition winner, with significantly improved accuracy.
