Google releases Gemma 4: the most powerful open model for its size.

Google has launched the Gemma 4 series of open models, touted as "the most powerful in its class." The models include four versions: E2B, E4B, 26B MoE, and 31B Dense, designed for advanced inference and agent workflows. The 31B and 26B models rank 3rd and 6th respectively on the Arena AI leaderboard. The entire series supports multimodal, long context, and over 140 languages, and is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license.
