Google launches Fairwind security program

Google DeepMind launches the Fairwind security program, opening up cutting-edge capabilities to vetted, high-priority cybersecurity defenders.

The program focuses on defensive tasks such as threat detection, vulnerability analysis, and security research. Participants will receive priority access to capabilities such as Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber and CodeMender. The official page states that the program's network already covers more than 650 partner organizations.

Fairwind employs an access control model based on trusted partners and high-priority defenders, and is not a barrier-free model for public distribution. Actual access eligibility, use cases, and security constraints are still determined by the program's review process.
