Anthropic unifies Claude chat and Cowork's memory system, allowing users to view, edit, or delete memories by topic; sensitive topics are not saved by default, and availability for Team and Enterprise is controlled by the administrator.
Anthropic announced that Claude Chat and Claude Cowork now use the same set of memories.The context accumulated during chat can be used for Cowork tasks, and relevant information generated by Cowork can also be returned to subsequent chats.
Users can view, edit, or delete memories by theme. Free, Pro, and Max have normal memories enabled by default, while sensitive themes are disabled by default; Team and Enterprise have their availability controlled by the administrator, and individual users still need to enable them manually.
