U.S. Federal Judge Rita Lin ruled that the Pentagon's designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk and the measures taken accordingly were illegal.The ruling, which addresses the government's risk assessment and the resulting restrictions, does not equate to Anthropic winning the case in all disputed matters.

Both the Associated Press and Axios reported on the ruling; the Associated Press said the government is expected to continue to challenge the ruling, so the impact of the case could still change with subsequent proceedings.
